Sudanese born, Egyptian raised Head Coach Fano Kori has trained under former Cuban Olympic Coach Ruben Sanchez in his Perth boxing gym for over a decade.

In that time he has represented Australia at home and abroad and has had numerous amateur and professional bouts. Recently he defeated Jesse White to become the W.A State Welterweight Champion.

Throughout his competition years he also worked at Sanchez’s Cuban Club boxing gym in the Perth CBD coaching numerous fighters of all levels including helping UFC champion Yoel Romero prepare for UFC 221.

In 2020 he opened the Nubian Kingdom Boxing Gym in Midland, Perth with the goal of training champions of his own. After the success of this location, in 2024 he opened a second location in Osborne Park.
